Most families we serve are eligible for funded childcare

2 year olds
If you meet some of the following criteria you maybe eligible for 15 funded hours for 38 weeks of the year. From the term after your child turns 2 years old.
Am I eligible?
Your 2-year-old is eligible, if you claim one of the following benefits:

Income Support
-
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
-
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
-
Universal Credit and an annual net earned income equivalent to and not exceeding £15,400, assessed on up to three of your most recent Universal Credit assessment periods
-
Tax credits and an annual income of under £16,190 before tax
-
The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
-
Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
-
The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
A child can also get Two Year Old funding if any of the following apply:

They are looked after by a local council
-
They have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
-
They get Disability Living Allowance
-
They have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.

FAQ
3 & 4 year olds Universal Entitlement
3 and 4 year olds can receive 15 hours funded childcare across 38 weeks. This is available from the term after they are 3 years old.
You can split your childcare across a maximum of two childcare providers.
If you need childcare during the holidays you can stretch your element and have fewer hours per week over more weeks.
St. Gabriel's fees
We currently charge £5 per hour for any hours outside of funded hours.
If your child attends just their funded hours, you will not have to pay any fees.
We do not have registration fees or deposits.
We do not ask for voluntary contributions.
Working Families Entitlement
Your child can receive up to 30 hours funded childcare per week at St. Gabriel's Pre-School. This is available from the term after they have reached 9 months.
Am I eligible?
Your child will be entitled to 30 hours childcare from the term after both of the following conditions are satisfied:

Your child has reached the age of 9 months.

You have a current confirmation of eligibility from HMRC

Your immigration status
To be eligible for funded childcare for working parents you (and your partner if you have one and they live with you) must have a National Insurance Number.
The person who applies must have one of the following'

British or Irish citizenship
-
settled or pre-settled status, or you have applied and are waiting for a decision.

permission to access public funds - your UK residence card will tell you id you cannot do this.
If you are not currently working
You may still be eligible if your partner is working and you are on carer's leave or if you get any of the following.

Incapacity benefit

Severe Disablement Allowance

Carer's Allowance
-
Limited Capability for Work Benefit

contribution based Employment and support benefit
