Our Committee Members

As a charity we are managed by a committee of Trustees who oversee the work, set direction and support the running of the organisation. The committee is made up of trustees and co-opted members and includes a parent representative.  

 

As the Pre-School is linked to the PCC, the majority of the trustees are drawn from the congregation of the church. We run to a constitution which can be seen by clicking the link on the right.

About My Role:

As Chair my role is to manage the meetings to ensure they run effectively. I am responsible for ensuring all officers carry out their responsibilities and oversee making the best use of the individual committee member’s skills.

 

I represent the Management Committee on the Hamworthy Parochial Church Council.

About My Role:

My role as the nominated person is to represent the Pre-school on behalf of the

Management Committee when  dealing with Ofsted. It is also my responsibility for making sure the whole committee knows important information about the registration.

As Secretary I keep the minutes of meetings and deal with any  correspondence and distribution of information to the whole Committee.

About My Role:

My role is to produce the yearly budget and to keep up-to-date records of the Financial decisions. I monitor the settings Bank account through monthly  Reconciliations and liaison with the Pre-School Administrator and the Committee.

 

I also ensure the money is spent in  accordance with the approved budget and

arrange for the Independent Inspection of the Annual Accounts.

About My Role:

My role is to liaise with the Pre-school Leader and deal with any day to day matters arising between the Pre-school and the Church.

About My Role:

As a Committee member I am committed to supporting and carrying out a variety of duties to help run the Pre-School.

Committee Members are currently DBS checked and also undertake management training throughout the year.
Kerry
PRE-SCHOOL LEADER

About My Role:

My role is to manage the day to day running of the Pre-School, at the direction of the Management Committee. I work with the Nominated Person to ensure that the Pre-School staff team are supported across the EYFS Curriculum and that  Ofsted guidelines are met.

Parents and carers of children attending the Pre-school are automatically Individual members. Each family holding Family Membership will count as one Member of the pre-school and will be entitled to one vote at any General Meetings.

Being part of a committee can be both enjoyable and rewarding. Individuals bring with them various skills, talents, expertise and ideas that can be used to enhance the group.
